How information is handled
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Hearn Consulting is an independent education consulting practice. This page explains what information may be collected through www.hearn.consulting, how that information is used, and how privacy-related requests can be made.
Questions about this policy can be sent to info@hearn.consulting.
Information collected
Information is collected only when it is submitted directly through the site or shared during an inquiry, download, intake, or client engagement. That may include:
- Contact information — name, email address, phone number, and related contact details submitted through forms.
- Inquiry details — service area, timeline, student grade or test date if relevant, and any message submitted through a form.
- Intake details — information provided through private intake forms, such as school context, deadlines, workload, draft status, or application information.
- Academic or application materials — grades, test scores, drafts, school lists, calendars, assignments, or related materials shared for coaching or consulting work.
- Payment information — payment processors handle transactions. Card or account numbers are not stored by Hearn Consulting.
Analytics
Google Analytics is used to understand general site activity, such as pages viewed, referral sources, and broad usage patterns. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on is available here: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How information is used
- To respond to inquiries.
- To send requested resources.
- To prepare for coaching, consulting, intake, or instructional work.
- To share documents, comments, feedback, plans, or resources related to an engagement.
- To maintain records needed for tax, legal, payment, or professional purposes.
- To send occasional follow-up emails only when someone has opted in or requested a resource.
Third-party tools
A small set of third-party services is used to operate the site and practice:
- Netlify — website hosting and form handling.
- Google Workspace — email, documents, spreadsheets, and form-related records.
- Google Analytics — basic website usage analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- MailerLite — email updates when someone opts in.
Each service has its own privacy policy and data practices.
Privacy requests
A request may be sent at any time to:
- confirm what information is on file
- correct inaccurate information
- delete information where deletion is permitted
- unsubscribe from email updates
Requests can be sent to info@hearn.consulting. Requests are handled within a reasonable time, usually within one week.
Minors
Some services involve high school students. For students under 18, a parent or guardian should be the primary contact for scheduling and payment. Information is not knowingly collected from children under 13.
Academic records
When academic records, grades, test scores, drafts, or school documents are shared as part of a family engagement, those materials are treated as confidential and used only for the related coaching or consulting work. Materials are not shared outside the engagement without permission. For school, district, or organization engagements, any applicable data-handling agreement controls.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes may also be noted on the site or by email when appropriate.
